Performer, you love the big stage and are well suited for the limelight. You are a gifted speaker, often the life of the party, and engage your audience with an entertaining flair. Your fun is in the performance.
You tend to be a self-starter and your innovative nature finds you choosing the unexplored path, “marching to the beat of your own drum.” The bigger the stage, decision or risk, the bigger the thrill for you! Be aware that smaller venues or adventures might create a feeling of being boxed in or constrained and be prepared.
You see things from the big picture and don’t have much patience for details, which tend to bore you. Because you love things fast-paced, you sometimes skip or miss steps along the way, and some details might fall through the cracks.
In the performance, you shine! It comes easily to you and you may expect the same performance level from others. Connecting with a big crowd comes easily, but you may have more difficulty connecting with individuals. Make it a habit of making eye-contact with people as you speak, either from the stage or in more intimate gatherings. That way people will feel you are genuinely connecting with them not just “performing” a role
Strong performers know how to accentuate their strengths and shore-up their short-comings. Allow the spotlight to illuminate areas that your profit personality likes to avoid. Address those short-comings, rehearse new ways to overcome them, and become more authentic in the process.
As Steve Martin once said, “Be so good they can’t ignore you.” Performer, take the stage and shine, shine, shine!
